Roger Stone is the smart guy, I wouldnt bet against him coming out of this just fine. The curious thing to me with Stone is that if Roger had any real damning info on Trump why didnt he use it to leverage Trump. Stone has been pushing for legal marijuana since the 2016 election but clearly got nowhere with Trump on that. I personally dont care if a person clubs baby seals if they are an ally in the fight for justice. I know few of you will believe me but marijuana prohibition significantly hurts minorities and poor people. I cant think of any single issue that would have a greater positive affect than legalizing marijuana on poor people and minorities and it has been a government conspiracy since day 1. Literally in the commission set up to discuss the proposed Marijuana Tax Act in 1930 when a doctor who was called to testify pointed out that they were just using newspaper articles as evidence and not actual scientific data he was told... "How dare you try to get in the way of something the government is trying to do" and kicked him out of the hearing.

imagine being so blind that people keep getting arrested for various things connected to meeting with russians and lying about it etc

and still believing nothing actually happened
 
btw the Stone case has also been assigned to Judge Jackson...maybe she will also let Roger wear nice suits to court

So do you understand how our criminal justice system works now? The systemic racisim problem we have is that we have strict laws and then law enforcement selectively enforcing that law. Thats how it worked in the Jim Crow days. Now its just an evolved Jim Crow system. The only way to end it is to take power away from law enforcement. How do we do that? The less laws there are to enforce the less power they have to charge and convict people. In a complex world I know we need a lot of laws but we could really help ourselves by cutting out a lot of the victim less crimes that waste money and cops time. We should not live in a world where Marijuana enforcement is a top priority and rape cases are so low priority that rape test kits go untested for years because cops refuse to fund the tests. Cops are always going to advocate for stricter laws because more laws gives them more power. Those strict laws are only going to loosely be enforced on them so what do they care. So they take that benefit of the doubt people like you give them and they tell you to be afraid. They tell you they are beating back the hordes of hell to "protect and serve" you and they cant do that if you take away any of their power. I never find a law enforcement union that lobbies or advocates against any law except ones that they deemed jeopardized officer safety or privacy. Yet they advocate and lobby for all kinds of existing and new laws. Law enforcement is in business for themselves and dont give a damn about their role in destroying the lives of many innocent people on a mass scale. The victims are almost always the most vulnerable people who have the least ability to defend themselves in the meat grinder that is our legal system. It creates a vicious cycle of poverty that breeds criminals. Then those law enforcement point to what they caused and tell you thats why you need them and that anyone that dare suggest that any cop is not on the up and up the problem. If not for those haters cops could do their job. If only you gave them more power.... the answer is always to double down on laws.....
 
Reading this indictment they got Stone ridiculously red handed. He literally quotes Richard Nixon "Stonewall it. Plead the fifth. Anything to save the plan" to a witness.



edit - This indictment just keeps getting more hilarious. Stone is threatening a witness and also threatening to take his dog. lol. I also now get the Godfather reference someone else posted.

i guess they will have to question the jurors about their views about animals...would be prejudicial in the extreme to let any animal-lovers on the jury
