Jonathan Turley is more of civil liberties guy than some sort of orthodox left-winger. You can find examples of him opposing or supporting both parties over the years. In my experience, trying to fit many (though not all) high profile law professors in "left"/"right" boxes is a mistake.
Not knocking his scholarship, just seems weird to randomly assert that someone is a "liberal" as if that was an actual argument.
Facts are hard for some people.
I am not the person who needs convincing. The facts I care about is what the judge says. That's reality.
