Flynn could also have important information on what the Russians were trying to do.

The WH counsel was told by Sally Yates that Flynn had lied to the FBI. Trump's response was to ask Comey for his loyalty.

Not just his loyalty.

“I hope you can see your way clear to letting this go, to letting Flynn go."

Who's the guy in drag?

Hold the **** up, are things maybe finally happening?

You don't think it's common to reach out to other countries. This can't be he spoke to some Russians therefore collusion.

well there would be nothing wrong if he did this on behalf of President Trump...but candidate Trump or president-elect Trump, I think that might be problematic depending on the nature of the "contact"

Depends on the nature of the contact...it IS possible even at this exceedingly late date that it is all innocent

Logan Act

If you have been watching the Ken Burns Viet Nam series you would know that was what drove Nixon to investigate Ellsburg and create the plumbers/
but once again, history is not MAGA ers strong suit

my reading tells me KellyAnne is in the Logan Act soup as well.
Pence?

i think in your heart you are starting to grasp what happened

There has to be proof. This is a start to that and have always been willing to get more than specualtion.

But more needs to be provided.

It's also too bad that the context of the emails have become irrelevant.

There has to be proof.

I agree. All along I've thought Flynn was the linchpin in terms of being able to provide the proof, if anything nefarious happened. Both during the campaign and during the transition. I didn't think he would flip. Him flipping is a very big deal.

Replying to @SethAbramson

69/ So what we've learned today is (a) Donald Trump, the President of the United States, is a target of the Mueller probe (as I and many attorneys have long said); (b) Jared Kushner is almost certainly also a target; (c) Kushner needs a new lawyer; (d) Pence may also be a target.

70/ Pence was nominally the head of the transition, and Flynn is now saying he was in contact with members of the transition—high-level members—about his conversations with Russia. If Mike Pence was one of them—and he lied about it publicly—he could face Obstruction charges, too.

Somewhat astounding that Mueller has basically not taken any bait, not engaged in any war of words, and has been completely silent to the media all while working on the biggest case in the country's history.

Pence was smart enough to lawyer up a long time ago. Not sure this will save him. I don't think we've ever had a mess like this. The Constitution and our system of government are going to be stress tested in a way they never have been.

I wonder if the key players in this drama will decide it is in the country's best interest to "look the other way" when it comes to Pence's culpability.
