I'm sorry but did I miss the part where past clients constitute a COI?
Yes.

In a normal situation I agree. This case is not normal by any means and mueller should have done everything possible to eliminate speculation.
There is also the small matter that ultimately the findings of Mueller and company will be judged by the court of public opinion (and Congress if it comes to impeachment) and the judges that the cases get assigned to (plus juries and appellate courts and so forth).
I understand there is also a political contest going on. Trump and his partisans want to undermine any negative findings and these allegations of COI help them. And of course he is getting Benghazied by his opponents on a grand scale. That's how politics gets played.
The big question is whether he fires Mueller before he can wrap up his investigation. I think the odds are better than 50% he will. And if he does, it won't be because of COI, though that might be used as a convenient fig leaf.
Trumpophiles will find cause to complain about Mueller's team even if they were all purer than the driven snow.
But there is one interesting detail in this situation. His legal advisers have taken the public position that it is in his interest to cooperate with and expedite Mueller's investigation. I guess not all of his supporters have gotten that memo.
Yes.
Yeah because we are making up the obvious bias of the team? Are you even being serious right now?
I don't get the Benghazi reference.
Well multiple readings have not helped me in that regard. I guess I need to take Remedial Reading Comprehension 101.
it is just a pet phrase I've adopted just because I like the sound of it, especially when used as a verb...to Benghazi someone...to poke someone up the ass with a sharp object...that's all I mean by it
I like this definition: "forced sharp-object sodomy as a consequence for negligently allowing innocents to be slaughtered"
So is all the fake news intentionally fake?
Yes. Otherwise it's just "erroneous news".
