Russia Collusion Scandal (aka A Leftist fantasy)

... and my guess is that if asked to expound, the extent of said 'suspicious activity' would boil down to:

"RUSSIA!™"

laundering and other corrupt and illegal funneling of money to Trump and people and organizations associated with him

I always thought there was a big 3 in terms of threats to his presidency...collusion/collaboration, financial entanglements, obstruction/abuse of power

didn't count on a fourth...the efforts to buy the silence of various women

there is a grand unified theory out there that ties the various strands

so was Cohen using all that dough to pay off the hookers or the hackers...looks increasingly like the answer is both

And somehow Trump is profiting from all of this too?

Fascinating.

in this case depends on how Cohen used the money...could be Cohen was the beneficiary...but I would not rule out Trump as the intended beneficiary...the evidence seized from Cohen might shed some light on the matter

You know it to be true. Every angle you think is true ends up being a dead end. You'll look bad in the long run on this sir

The company in question, Columbus Nova, was listed until November 2017 as a property of Renova, which is controlled by Vekselberg. Its CEO is Vekselberg's cousin.

Accuracy is important, but that's a pretty small fig leaf.

I believe it would be illegal for the cousin to act as a funnel so that Vekselberg can evade restrictions on political contributions by foreigners

but that legal fine point is the least of Cohen's and Trumps problems

I'd be very interested to see a full accounting of all of Cohen's business entities...I'll go out on a limb and suggest that "Essential Consultants LLC" is not the only one. I'd also like to see a full accounting of Trump's Inaugural fund. That one should be publicly disclosed, but for some reason they keep filing for extensions.

Grifters and crooks, man.

Here's an honest question or two for those friends who are trying to minimize this:

Regardless of Vekselberg's role or non-role, why was this company dropping a million bones on Michael Cohen, the President's personal attorney? Why was it dumped into an LLC that seems to have been used primarily as a slush fund for hush money?

So forget fevered Russia collusion narratives for a minute. What's the innocent explanation here?

Yeah, not sure if Trump gets dragged in anywhere, but this certainly feels like the tip of the iceberg for Cohen.

And what about the payments from AT&T and Novartis? If those are just Cohen running some kind of shakedown gig, don't you think Trump should drop him like a hot potato? I suspect he might, but what are we to think if he doesn't?
