Russia Collusion Scandal (aka A Leftist fantasy)

A summary of known facts is occasionally useful in this matter:

1) by April 2016, Russia had stolen emails from both the DNC and Clinton campaigns

2) in the same month, Papadopoulos was informed by Mifsud that the Russians had dirt on Clinton in the form of emails

3) in May Trump campaign official Michael Caputo put Roger Stone in touch with a Russian calling himself Henry Greenberg. Stone and Greenberg have differed in their descriptions of the conversation, but there was apparently an offer of dirt for $2 million.

4) in early June there was the "adoptions" meeting at Trump Tower that included Trump Junior.

5) in July Carter Page traveled to Moscow to give a speech. On his return he emailed JD Gordon of the Trump campaign about the "incredible insights and outreach" he received while in Moscow.

6) also in July Pavel Manafartov emailed Konstantin Kilimnik to offer private briefings to Oleg Deripaska. On July 29, a week after Trump accepted the Republican nomination, Manafartov received an email from Kilimnik, this one with the subject line “Black Caviar.” “I met today with the guy who gave you your biggest black caviar jar several years ago,” Kilimnik wrote. “We spent about 5 hours talking about his story, and I have several important messages from him to you. He asked me to go and brief you on our conversation."

On July 31, Kilimnik and Manafartov corresponded again to firm up their plans for a dinner meeting in New York on August 2 at the Grand Havana Club. “I need about two hours,” Kilimnik wrote to Manafort on July 31, “because it is a long caviar story to tell.”

That's not fishy at all.

also we don't have good cyber security because the best ones smoke weed. Comey mentions this in a speech I posted. Legalization is a matter of national security!

Despite some public musing about the investigation, judge Ellis joins the other jurisdiction in denying Manafort's motion to dismiss. Dude's going to see trial in a matter of weeks, and he's right ****ed. If he's got anything to offer, now is the time.

Manafartov should be keeping a close eye on developments with respect to Michael Cohen.

That's in addition to the, what, $18M of OD's money that Pavel apparently absconded with in that Black Sea Cable deal? Honestly, that one stinks to me. There have been plenty of instances of oligarchs laundering or repatriating money through phony schemes that end up in bad-faith litigation. Hard to tell, but what's certain is that Deripaska owns Persian Rug Pavel.

There were reports in August 2016 of Russian involvement.
With the stakes, for both party's, as high as they are for the mid terms ...

just saying
