Russia Collusion Scandal (aka A Leftist fantasy)

Gotta ask at this point, since federal holidays are unconstitutional, if Ron Paul ever introduced legislation to remove all Federal holidays from the calendar? Or was it just the one he objected to?

Since federal holidays are unconstitutional, I am wondering why you, or Ron Paul, have not successfully sued the US government to have them removed from the calendar. Surely the Von Mises institute would file an amicus brief on your behalf.

It's an absolute disgrace. This discussion has absolutely nothing to do with collusion. Absolutely nothing. A lot of good posters are suffering from this. What's going on right now is a shame.

when I am in charge these boards and this thread will be great again...only i can save the situation

Oh, so you realized the 10th Amendment didn’t fly. That’s a chuckle, honestly.

Huh?

Honestly, when I asked you for a vote... I though you may come to the table with something, that, you know, impacts someone's life. The fact that you're honing in on a federal holiday vote is hilarious to me. That's your evidence? That's so cute.

Imagine if he had said something like this:

Still, there was something about him that made me wary. A little too sure of himself, maybe. And white — he’d said himself that that was a problem.

But that was Obama. All good.

Or what if he said:

No, it remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names.

Obama again. All good

You know there's a dozen others... in his writing. IN his speeches. Easy to find. But you established in another thread that racism against white people doesn't count so no biggie.

So what you are arguing is that Congress does not have the power to declare federal holidays.

Correct. Do they? I've asked a few times where they have that power... maybe I missed your answer

Let’s remember how we got here.

Sure. I said I don't think Trump goes down for collusion.

Super said I'm a racist because of that.

I said, tell me why.

Which led to my support of Ron Paul (when we all know the reason was bc I didn't scream that Trump was guilty)

We’re having an abstruse argument over constitutional law because you couldn’t just call a racism a racism.

Ya know... when I think of racism, I think of policies that are racist. The drug war is racist. Our judicial system appears to me to be racist. When we make laws based on race, that appears to me to be racist.

Luckily Ron Paul has never, ever, supported such racist nonsense. If you can prove otherwise, please do. But since I know you can't... feel free to avoid with your usual bull**** of nonsense

Anyhow, we want to say Ron Paul is racist because of a newsletter that was written 30 years ago which is so inconsistent with literally everything he has ever written in his entire career. But you are a liberal - so I get it. Natural instinct is to scream racist. I don't fault you for your natural instinct but I do request taking a step back from the screeching and think rationally.

But wait! This 83 year old dude tweeting a story about the dangers of cultural marxism. And wouldn't you know it? This racist asshole was brave enough to throw a cartoon out there of stereotype faces to prove it! Nevermind the fact the dude said he doesn't do his own tweets (you don't say!), and nevermind the fact that he said his staff didnt notice the faces until it was pointed out. And nevermind the fact they pulled it down and apologized.

No no no... julio is a liberal who acts on emotion and not logic. This is proof he is a racist damnit!

Well fine ol racist sturg33 says "no, there is context here. he's not a racist. look at his voting record. look at his public comments. look at his books. show me something substantive"

And emotional julio says... "oooooooh i got it! HE VOTED AGAINST A FEDERAL HOLIDAY NAMED AFTER A BLACK GUY!!!!"

Of course he explained this vote several times... but emotional julio isn't interested. "well why hasn't he tried to sue the courts!!!??" he asks?

Please.

--------------------------------------------------------------

One thing I have slowly started learning... arguing with emotionalists is a losing strategy. I've learned that with Super, runnin, and 57... I guess I'll add you to the list

Nobody. My point is that Manaforts has been around a long time. He's a slime ball

And there are probably hundreds just like him

There probably are hundreds of lobbyists selling influence to foreign interests and skirting the rules.

Omorosa says Tweety Bird likes to go dark for 24 hrs in a crisis.

Aka his lawyers tell him not to. On days like this he has a history of not tweeting anything at all. Was absolutely silent during the entire Comey testimony. And a few other times as well. Those were no coincidences.

(R) knives coming out for Pence via his ties with newly flipped Manafort.
Interesting week coming up.

Watch Ryan and Romney 's friends with columns

One under the radar aspect of the Manafort deal was his complicity in a 2012 smear campaign against HRC to benefit his Ukrainian benefactors.
She was Sec of State
Her approval ratings at that time were in the 60's
By 2015 it was 49%
I have wondered why/how her approvals took such a hit.

She was under the radar from 2013 until 2015 - no scandals ( I take that back, Benghazi --- but, 20%? ) very little in the public eye
We are beginning to see what in fact happened to those ~20~ percentage points

I think historians will be unpacking the 2016 elections for decades

So, pages 1-9 and 13-16 have the relevant context then.

we are getting used to it but it bears pointing out that these attempts to undermine an investigation that he and his associates are a subject of is a serious abuse of power...an impeachable offense imo

Curious. How many months have to go by before you realize there might not be anything to this collusion angle?

abuse of power is independent of the ultimate findings of Muellers investigation, which btw has already produced a number of convictions, guilty pleas, and indictments

Convictions, guilty pleas and indictiments that have nothing to do with collusion

Slimy people going down is a good thing.

But there has been no publicly released evidence of collusion. I thought Woodward's comments were interesting - he said he tried very hard for 2 years to find evidence of it for his book, and found nothing.

If nsacpi wants to hide behind the obstruction card in order to get his wish fulfilled - who knows, maybe he'll be happy. But to me this is akin to someone getting in trouble for resisting arrest when said person didn't commit a crime.
