A spokeswoman for Mr. Barr did not return an email seeking comment. A Justice Department spokesman declined to comment.
Judge Jackson said that the government had until May 17 to decide whether it planned to appeal her ruling, a decision that will be made by a Justice Department run by Biden appointees.

Kind of odd that the DoJ is fighting the release of this AFTER Trump is gone. The judge said emails showed that the OLC were drafting their memo at the same time as Barr was writing his memo supposedly relying on the OLC memo. So obviously Barr saying he relied on the OLC memo was a lie. The judge said it was clear that charging Trump was never considered, only how to justify not charging him was discussed. Now I understand Barr being biased but what excuse does the OLC have? Their job is to be independent. The DoJ needs a house cleaning imo. Starting with the OLC.
