S FINAL 8/2 ... Gohara, Wilson Deliver

I think they might be pulling the plug on Matt Wisler, starting pitcher as has been suggested. It's interesting if he throws a lot more of his sliders.

I don't expect to see Acuna or Gohara at SunTrust this season, but completely expect that both of them and Soroka will be given every chance to earn a spot during camp next spring. Newcomb and Sims have to step up IMO.

I'm pleased with Newcomb so far. I think he's gonna be a mainstay in our rotation moving forward

Two-homer game for Demeritte, soaring his average all the way up to .214.

Maybe he will come out of his slump and restore a bit of his luster from earlier in the year. Still a long shot, but a few more hopeful signs would be helpful.

Soroka will be I'm AAA until July at least next season. Gohara will potentially be in Atlanta by the end of May.

TD has been probably the biggest disappointment. But really not that big a deal since he is so far down the totem pole in my book.

I was pretty skeptical coming into the year, but when he hit 200 PAs and had the K rate down to about 20%, I bought in and started getting excited about him for the first time.

Ever since that 200 PA mark, he has been a disaster.

Acuna looked great at the plate tonight. Very good pitch recognition and laid off some really good pitches. Got cheated on his strike out. That was a letter high strike. He looked good on defence. Just glided to a few fly outs.

Gohara seemed to struggle with command early. Fastball sat in the low 90s early but increased up to 96 or so by the end of his outing.

The Swanson in Gwinnett was pretty much the same Swanson of Atlanta this year. He looked terrible at the plate and made an error on a lazy ground ball that got under his glove late in the game. He wasn't credited with the error, I guess it was some home cooking.

We certainly all hope so, but the rebuild is getting to the point that people need to start performing or they're going to get passed.

Gohard and Wilson with great games today. Glad to see them both bounce back from rough starts. Motte with the win tonight. hopefully see him in ATL soon.
