Saga of Jeff Francoeur continues

Hire him as a third hitting coach. Just tell all the players "Whatever he tells you to do, do the exact opposite."

George Costanza principle.

I'm so over this whole conversation. I liked him when he first came up and always had some hope for him until it became obvious that he was either one of the dumbest or most stubborn players who ever laced up their spikes.

Man, I feel bad for the guy. Now that he is looking for work, again, what does he have to console himself except his millions in the bank, his large, probably mortgage free home, attractive wife, lot of cars, good looks, and he can officially retire at the ripe old age of what, 29?! Not like he couldn't end up in any number of other less stress jobs like broadcasting...if he wanted to, that is and not just enjoy the money and investments he's already made!

How will Jeff Francoeur ever live with himself, now?

(PS: won't be long until someone calls him to play for them.)

If on-base percentage is so important, then why don't they put it up on the scoreboard? He's a good player. Just needs time.

I wonder what kind of hitting coach Frenchy would be.

I imagine him as a very active and vocal coach. I can just see him sitting in the dugout, yelling encouragement to his charges:

"Stay aggressive!"

"Hey, that looked like a good one!"

"Let 'er rip, kid!"

"Too close to take!"

"Gotta swing at that one, buddy!"
