Someone explain this to me. I want certainty only, not speculation.
Braves placed Alex Jackson on the 60-day disabled list on June 26. He was assigned to Gwinnett for a rehab a week later. Methinks he's gotten well. For the month of July, Jackson has four homers and 14 RBIs in 12 games, with Saturday being the second four-RBI game of the week. Why is he still there and when is he eligible to be activated.
Since he last played in Atlanta on May 1st, is the 60-day IL retro?
And while I'm asking, WTF is cutting Lucroy all about and bring in another 38-year-old rust-bucket sub-.200 hitter to catch. Lucroy looked like he was eager to contribute when I watched him? He actually bunted when asked and showed a lively bat. He did not seem to have trouble behind the plate. Was this a clash of personalities.
