The ceiling trades and picks this organization have made are exactly the types a mid market team need t make.
Need to actually hit on one though

Come on man. Do you have to be so adversarial on all my posts? That's obvious one needs to hit.
how valuable can a DH ever really be? he'd better be the best hitter in the system if they're going to really get great value.
buying jackson is like buying a house just on the next block beyond the big city border into the value capped suburb next door. the guy might really hit, but he's not really the high ceiling guy being mentioned here. this is exactly why this is exactly the kind of trade the braves should not be ever making. they may as well trade for a quarterback or a point guard next. they'd have just as much of a chance of ever playing in the national league.
all that changes if there's some rule change regarding the dh i don't know about.
it's still a f'ing horrible trade. anybody look up povse's numbers lately? that's in AA. a position that the braves could actually use on the field, btw.

If Jackson hits like this, we can at least stick him at 1b, right?

Allowing myself to get at least a little excited about Jackson now.
Every thread on this board takes the most bizarrely miserable turn. It's never a matter of if, just when.
