School choice doesn’t promote “competition.”

Choice schools admit who they want

(kids who come from wealth, score high on tests, are great at sports, etc)

and leave the rest in defunded public schools.

That’s not competing.

That’s a system meant to grift and claim supremacy.

Liberty Christian School in Durham, NC got almost $1m in voucher funding this year.

Liberty's primary educational objective is "to bring each student to a saving knowledge and relationship with Jesus Christ."

They should not be getting taxpayer funding.

The rainbow cult has brought religion back to our schools

Chicago Teachers Union President Stacy Davis Gates, who has been vocal in the past about her opposition to private schools, enrolled her teenager at a Catholic school, NBC Chicago confirmed.

After days of questions directly to Davis Gates and the CTU that were left unanswered, NBC Chicago confirmed via Davis Gates' own social media posts and multiple sources that her child was enrolled this year at a Chicago Catholic high school.

...

On social media, Davis Gates has said, "school choice was actually the choice of racists. It was created to avoid integrating schools with Black children."

She also posted a link to an article titled "The Racist Origins of Private School Vouchers."

School choice for me, but not for thee

It's so incredibly telling that the fiercest opponents of school choice almost always select choice for their own family

Gotta love her explanation:

"It was a very difficult decision for us because there is not a lot to offer Black youth who are entering high school," Gates told WBEZ. "In many of our schools on the South Side and the West Side, the course offerings are very marginal and limited. Then the other thing, and it was a very strong priority, was his ability to participate in co-curricular and extracurricular activities, which quite frankly, don’t exist in many of the schools, high schools in particular."

Yeah, no ****!

If “school choice” really is popular, why don’t lawmakers
put it on the ballot rather than sneak it in legislation?

Because it’s not popular. It always fails to pass. Most folks
need access to fully-funded public schools in their neighborhoods.

School choice is a scam.

Has school choice been on the ballot before?

I'd be interested to know where and what was detailed in the bills.

I'm sure 57 has those ready since he brought it to the table.
