Score board watching

If Rockies somehow catch and beat out Dodgers for division, Bud Black is easily manager of the year IMO. Even a wild card for Rockies makes Black manager of the year for me.

I don’t love the guy, but there’s no way Snitker isn’t manager of the year.

They gave it to Fredi once so they may give it to him too, but he is not a good manager. He just has a very good up and coming team led by Acuna, etc. Black is a very good manager, winning with this Rockies team would be impressive.
 
Goldschmidt could bury the Dodgers with 1 swing-- bases loaded, 2 outs, Snakes up 3-2 in Bot 2nd

Baez has replaced Stripling to face Goldschmidt

Goldschmidt Ks swinging 3-2 snakes going to 3rd

Look at the runs scored vs given up of both teams and stop listening to predictions before the season. That isn't a good argument, that is same nonsense used in 2013 for Fredi lol

Goldly has been slumping badly and striking out a ton of late.

you know winning that award doesn't mean you are a good manager. it just means you had a good season and you are the leader so therefore you get a trophy.

That tells me absolutely nothing about the quality of a manager, and I like Bud Black.

And Fredi didn’t win the MoY award in 2013.

sure it does, Rockies before this series had only scored something like one more run than given up. They didn't have Story in big games last week either etc. But look at the Braves pretty much all year, they were among the best in the NL. That makes things a lot easier on a manager.
