Score board watching

Mets shutting down Wheeler, he was scheduled to pitch this weekend in DC.

Phiiiies up 1-0 on Mets going to Bot 3rd

Braves(10 games remaining) win moves them up 6 games on Phiiiies pending tonight's outcome vs Mets. Phiiiies have 11 games remaining after tonight.

Nats on verge of being eliminated as they are 7 games back, 10 to play. MN=4

Absolute nonsense.

Braves were projected to be better this year, but still not a playoff team. Anything that happens IF they make the playoffs is absolute gravy.

I wouldn't call being swept in an embarrassing manner gravy, but I can kind of see your point.

Since Ronald Rump closed the thread, just gonna say, if I lose the zito award then everything is rigged. I'm calling the on the Phillies to hack the voting and give me the edge.

If the Braves can just split this series coming up, they’ll be in great shape. Phillies have to win the series.

Honestly, the Phillies have to sweep. You have to expect that we will probably take 1 or 2 vs. New York and Philly will lost a couple in Colorado. At that point Philly would basically have to win all 7 against us to make the comeback. Its possible, but I just don't see it happening.

They really need a sweep. If braves take just 1, the magic number would be 4. They have to go to the Rockies and we play the Mets. Gotta figure they lose at least one, and the braves win at least 1. That would put the magic number at 2. The Phillies would have to sweep the final series, and that's if the braves only beat Mets once and they only lose to Rockies once. They pretty much have to sweep this weekend to have a shot

Ha... thinking same way

I closed it so early nominations dont influence other voters. Has to be what you think not swayed by arguments. Maybe I'll make a thread for it.

Yea, even if they hold on tonight they must sweep us to have a real shot. We could win one and they'd still be 3 and a half back going into our off day where they face Colorado, lose that game after winning three of four against us and they are still 4 back with only 6 games to play.

Need Gausman to have a great outing tomorrow and get the win. Don't have a lot of confidence in Julio or Newcomb. Hopefully Folty can outduel Nola. Obviously would love to wrap this up this weekend so we can rest guys and try to figure out who's going to make the playoff roster.

Gausman gave up a season high 12 hits in a loss to Philly on July 12th while still a member of the O's. Hopefully he does much better vs them this time. Personally, this is one series I miss McCarthy as he owned Philly for us early this year. I also rather have Sanchez pitch in this series than most anyone pitching in it as his crafty style is the most likely to give Philly trouble IMO. I have the most confidence in Teheran this series just so long as he's on his game. I trust Newcomb the least as usual.
