Wikipedia was absolutely correct here. The gesture *was* widely compared to a Nazi salute, because it distinctly looked like one. Say what you will about the response to it, but Elon could have said “this is what the gesture really meant, but I can see how it looked. The similarities were not intentional and I look forward to focusing on the issues important to the American people” or something like that. He instead chose the route of “you ****ing idiots really think that even *looked* like a Nazi salute?”

Hah, I’m good. I’m not self-victimizing over it, I just don’t see the benefit in debating whether or not it’s propaganda to suggest these policies will hurt some largely innocent people and that I think it sucks.
