No they aren't.

They're doing layoffs, but that's because they're greedy and answering to shareholders

BG3 is not the exception, it shows what happens when a dev has the runway to do what they want because they're not always getting that. BG3, Hades, etc.

See why Nintendo games also always hit. THey take the time to make sure the game is right.

Games that sucked are usually from EA, Ubisoft, Blizzard, etc. because they're publically traded or owned by publically traded companies. They make ****ty games because they're rushed because if they miss a deadline the investors lose money and then they fire people.

Same issue with hollywood, shareholders ruin anything artistic. If DEI wasn't involved games would still suck. No one uttered the word DEI 10 years ago and games weren't any better then.

It's such a copout to blame shareholders for everything. The Witcher is a great example of a show that was ruined by the DEI crowd. Writers and showrunners that have no interest in following the source material and wonder why it sucks. The list goes on and on of failed projects because those in charge are more of an activist than an actual creative.

Nintendo is also a Japanese company that isn't effected by the DEI rot that's prevelant in the west.

One day you will get it.

We're not talking about TV shows. But yeah, tell me how DEI ruined the witcher TV show. ANd how is it different than basically any other adaptation? As I understand it, the differences mostly are standard changes between movie and book.

Your example of DEI not impacting things was Nintendo which is obviously a stupid example because of Japanese culture.
