That someone being a cop is not useful information to me. He threw a sandwich at a cop and the government has charged him with a felony assault charge, sent 20 cops to arrest him and used a bunch of their social media accounts to boast about it. It’s pathetic and lame.

But you and I agree people shouldn’t be charged with felonies for misgendering someone, and you and I both know people aren’t being charged with felonies (at least not in America) for doing so. What I’m curious about is why police tyranny is apparently cool with some right now? The same people claiming the goddamn January 6th riot was the greatest injustice of our time is ready to throw the book at a dude over throwing a sub.
But you shouldn’t though. Even if you think stopping crime in cities is vitally important and that the Dems in charge are complicit in not doing so, you should not accept the government pursuing felony assault charges against people not doing felony assaults, and you shouldn’t celebrate the government lying to you about it endlessly. You’re setting up a false dichotomy where the only two options are unfettered lawlessness or authoritarian bullshit. There exist other options in the middle, and I implore you to remember that when you defend this shit.

You can check the tapes, I always called it an abuse of the justice system and called for reform that helped both the J6 rioters and others abused by the system.
