A former heroin addict who was expelled from two schools, dumped a dead bear in Central Park, has no medical or science degree, and was labeled a “predator” by his own family is making medical decisions for 330M Americans that enrich himself while ignoring decades of data and peer-reviewed studies. The man isn’t well, and the fact that he’s in such a position is not only insane but a clear and present danger to the nation. Please call your representatives and demand that RFK Jr. be removed.

Well we just got our COVID shots, one advantage of being over 65.And RFK, Jr can go fu*k himself. He's just another incompetent liar in the orange beast's regime. He stated no one knows how many people died of COVID and how many were saved by the COVID vaccine. If knowing those data is not part of his job, what is.

To be somewhat fair, I don’t actually think he’s in it for personal financial gain. I think he’s wrong about many things, that the approach of just ignoring all the diseases we’ve all but eradicated in favor of chasing widely debunked links between vaccines and autism is a genuine threat to public health, and that we need to take a step back and remember that doctors and medicine are good actually, but I don’t think he’s being bankrolled to do it.

I would much prefer they frame it all as the amount of illegal immigration that has occurred is unsustainable, so we will be removing anyone found to be here illegally.
I guess that’s politically untenable, but it’s what needs to be both done and said. Don’t make people think it’s okay to be here illegally as long as they aren’t violent criminals, make them think it’s okay to be here as long as they are here legally and aren’t violent criminals.

They are not a police force, but they’re certainly better than funding more police in DC due to the political oversight of the politicians running DC. High crime rates don’t just happen, they’re chosen.

Just as I don’t want the federal government working with social media companies to help them censor free speech, I absolutely don’t want the federal government turning any criticism of them into an attack for their supporters to pile on. It *is* a bit uncouth for Noem to have a Rolex on for her publicity stunts at detention centers, and The Daily Beast has no obligation to cheer for her efforts to deport people. Is Noem’s watch an urgent breaking news story? No. But the Daily Beast can determine for itself if their audience cares about Noem’s displays of wealth without the government stepping in to call it disgusting.

Previous health officials and scientists really dropped the ball by not imposing an arbitrary deadline for finding the cause. Turns out it’s a very effective strategy. We should do the same with cancer now.

I’m still trying to make sense of that post. The numbers say DC is 10% worse, but then we get the “but with a higher frame rate compared to national averages.” Huh?

Fired isn’t a pronoun, and this doctor presumably was hired to that role by the US Military, so maybe we don’t need to be a complete dick to her after firing her given there’s no evidence this person disparaged the US Military or did anything but serve her country in the role she was hired for.

I had a boss who was thinking of making a line for pronouns in our signature or something. I said it’s a great idea. For some reason that surprised him, until I told him my pronoun is Master. He never added that line.
 
Regarding the use of national guard in cities to reduce crime I like what I have seen so far but I dont trust any stats released about this. I have not heard of any abuses so far by them. Flooding high crime areas with LE is a good tactic to reduce violent crime but the problem with the way cops do it is they harass the good people in the area using small and minor violations like someone jaywalking on an empty street at midnight to justify searching them and running them for warrants. And when you are a poor person in these areas and a cop pulls you over for changing lanes only 95 feet after signaling he searches your car, handcuffs you, and still writes you a ticket they expect you to not be mad about it. It works in the sense that if you arrest as many people as possible some of them are going to be bad people who might have done crimes. But arresting 3 innocent people so you keep 1 bad people off the streets isnt a good trade off. It looks good because what happened to the 3 innocent people doesnt show up on crime stats.


So if using the NG can reduce violent crimes without abusing people I am all for it. Its how I would fight crime. Flood the high crime areas with specialized units only there to respond to serious crimes. Someones going 37 in a 30. Dont care. Problem is thats not where the money is. Catch a drive by shooter they get nothing. Catch a drug dealer with cash and they get paid. Theres highways where they know drugs go one way and the money goes the other way. Guess which side they aggressively pull people over and search people is. Hell our own government was involved in transporting drugs into our own cities.
