I'm responding to your question of why is it federal.

Can you show me where I supported it?

This animal definitely just wanted to kill a white person though. Not sure how a 'hate crime' can be more accurately characterized.
 
And also - why is your approach 'lock him up for life'.

Guy should be given painful torture until death. Even then, that isn't just revenge for what this animal did.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I will just say I do not think we should torture people until they die as punishment for crimes.

I assure you, life in prison without the possibility of parole is a punishment that sufficiently dissuades crime. Crime that happens with that punishment on the table isn’t happening because it’s not harsh enough.

Yeah it just becomes a burden on taxpayers instead.

And then of course you’ll argue at a point that no parole possibility is too harsh.

I don’t care if it’s dumb or not. If it takes them away fro a system they will not kill animals then so be it. Fantastic move.
