To be fair, it was the Young Republicans…their membership includes people up to 40 years old. I believe one person implicated in the scandal was a state senator.

I’d say on balance, (R) is doing a better job responding to this than (D) is to that whacko in the Virginia race. There have been calls for the state senator to resign, while it seems like most prominent (D) are still backing Jones.

But people - including the Vice President - who are downplaying this or failing to condemn it, are being shitheads.

You’d have some inkling of a point if Trump and his staff were engaging with them in good faith. But they’re not. They wanted to be dicks to a bunch of people so that they can be banned from Bluesky and play the victim. I am not going to get mad at a bunch of snowflakes for being snowflakes. They can live their internet lives however they want, and are under no obligation to provide Trump an audience. Trump and his staff chose this life of public service.
