Second ('Third') Trump Presidency Thread

There’s suddenly a 20% chance that Trump’s 2nd term mostly consists of strangely liberal economics and ineffective immigration policy that gets stymied by lobbyists in the agriculture industry.

And let me point out again that Liz Cheney was a rising star in the GOP before J6. If she doesnt do the right thing Trump and MAGA would love her. She might even be speaker of the house by now. Where was the rebuke of her and Dick in 2016 when they were endorsing Trump.

Which is what makes it so maddening that the left cozied up to her. For any voter whose single issue was Donald Trump’s authoritarian streak, you didn’t need Cheney to convince them. For everybody else, it was at best a non-starter or at worst a reason not to vote for Harris.

All I know is anything good that happens is because of Trump and anything bad that happens is someone elses fault. The MAGA motto.

The problem again was they let Trump set the narrative with her. History will remember the Republicans like her who sacrificed their political careers putting country before party. She said what most Republican officials believe she was just one of the few willing to accept the consequences for speaking the truth which is a very redeemable act in my opinion.

I didn't know a lot about Pam Bondi but she promised lawfare and political prosecutions so that's good. Much of the claims by the tards was litigated in court already and you lost. Now they want to do the very thing they claim is a crime. Absolutely no chance they end up with abuse of power and malicious prosecution charges for it. It's almost impossible to get prosecutors on those kinds of charges unless they publicly admit to doing it. Which is why it will backfire on them. Can't wait for the confirmation hearing. Will be wild.

I actually kind of respect how easy Trump cheerleaders have made it for themselves. Anything Trump does that doesn’t jive with their worldview is a product of some mysterious Deep State adviser that hasn’t been rooted out yet. It can’t possibly ever be Trump.

It can't possibly be because he is a gullible moron who doesn't understand that people suck up to him to get what they want from him.

He does get great support. He's okay but Pam Bondi is a way better.

What proof do we have the Bondi is good?

I'm seeing a lot of names that most of MAGA didn't know existed a week ago and MAGA thinks every one of them is the greatest ever at their job.

Trump is simultaneously the only man who can take down the deep state and also has no agency over any decision that doesn't work out

Seriously why is this OK from the MAGA cult

I've seen infinitely more criticism of RDS for... being alive, than this guy for abandoning everything bc he was afraid of being exposed

I'm just resigned the fact I'm not going to like everyone he picks. Get the big stuff right and eerything else will take care of itself.

The personnel to lead these departments is the big stuff

Yeah - I won't like it all or understand reasons used to justify.

I want illegals out / Reformed Government / less war in the world / re-invigoration of the American workforce.

I think the rest will sort itself out over time.

The need for low skilled labor is going to change dramatically in the next five years.

He's just not the ruthless disruptor you think he is. He's a liberal, who wants to be liked. And those who like him he will reward
