Second ('Third') Trump Presidency Thread

He's just not the ruthless disruptor you think he is. He's a liberal, who wants to be liked. And those who like him he will reward

Few have been more of a disruptive force in our nations history while overcoming unprecedented assault from so many - Thems the facts.

A MANDATE to deport illegals.

Makes sense. But doesn’t look like the pollster is asking the “how” question. I wonder how people would respond to the military doing the deportations.

It reminds me of a gallop poll where 70% of people wanted universal healthcare but in the same survey only 30% supported a single payer system.

Devil is in the details

MOre and more self-deportation will happen with the changing of some rules.

Devil is in the details

The details end up being a temporary emotional reaction. Over time nobody will remember how it was done only that it was done.

This is of course aside from a tragic event that takes place but the worst case dread scenario that is being pushed is not what it will end up looking like.

This is a pretty callously political and transactional analysis of a program that would involve a lot of human suffering.

Everyone will get in line because its what must be done to save the country.

Thats wishful thinking by both the mayor and Rand. The local government isnt going to physically block federal police. What will happen will be the same that happened with Texas and Biden. They can block state police from cooperating with federal police.

This isn’t hard - along with self deportation we are going to see wages climbing starting in mid 2025.

Did you even read the motion. Nowhere does it say they are dropping the charges for any reason other than DoJ policy prohibits prosecuting the President while in office. He will pardon himself on the way out the door if Reps lose on 2028 and the charges will be brought back. This isn't a scenario we didn't expect. His whole defense strategy was hinged on never having to face a trial because he knows he would lose. He is still a convicted felon.
