Second ('Third') Trump Presidency Thread

So prices will not increase more than 2? (Materially range) or are you saying maximum 7%?

Yes - rising costs aren’t spread evenly so some will raise more and some will raise less. But we will fall somewhere in that bucket id guess

Ok ill take the mid of your range. 5% from tarrifs. 3% from inflation.

That's 8% cost rises which was a number that proved catastrophic for the Biden admin

Coupled with rising crime and **** jobs. Society completely destabilized. And tariffs are targeted as opposed to blanket inflation across the board. Other costs will decrease because of energy policy.

I could care less about his opinion. But the people at Dragon Age are gone. Just because you don't like the messenger doesn't mean it's a lie.

Well it is a lie, EA is cutting employees from Bioware, but not all the people who worked on Dragon Age are gone. Many of them are but many others moved onto other games or were already working on the next Mass Effect.

EA has been killing bioware for years, and seems to finally be putting the finishing touches on it now.

Nothing says the tariffs are permanent btw- they could be renegotiated into a better deal for US interests

Some tariffs should be permanent (China). The ones on Canada and Mexico are temporary and Probabaly be lifted before a year.

Tariffs just hurt other countries and their competitiveness.

You guys will eventually catch up and move past archaic think tank pieces.

The world needs the US market more than we need foreign suppliers. Just wait till we move more production domestically the next ten years. The world will regret trying to rob the US.

Remember when Trump said he wanted a new fbi building dc and the claim was he wasn’t going to do anything if he won? What a stupid primary season. Who knows how many votes were shaved off because of the establishment op

If the latest dragon age game wasn't crap that team wouldn't have gotten nuked. Dragon age as a franchise is essentially dead.

It all goes back for rh crimes of Obama and HRC. They had to setup Trump to stop the truth from coming out.

Going to get real interesting real soon.

I don't think it is irrational to think that the guy would behave similarly to how he behaved the first time. The evidence I had was his actions while he was in the role. And he refused to debate, while constantly saying how great of a job he did.

There was no evidence that anything changed. He condemned project 2025, for example

I'm glad he's been way more aggressive than I ever expected. So, for 2 weeks, I will eat that wrong prediction. I'm very glad that the teddy bear has grown some real teeth.

But I reiterate that expecting more of the same was the rational expectation.

I hope it continues. It turned out to be a blessing in disguise he didn't win in 2020. Because that would have led to.same Trump as the first time

These are the types of people that think tariffs are bad.

Rick Wilson is an idiot. But even nscapi gets something right every now and then

The tarrif plan is an enormous risk for Trump. Americans who rightfully voted for him due to inflation WILL see price increases.

You know how the media will operate. The data will come out and they will go on overdrive about how he has failed to lower prices.

He will need to make the argument effectively that Americans who are struggling today need to deal with it because it will pay off in a decade

(By the way, I don't think there's anything wrong with that argument... it's the same argument i make about social security)

No there was plenty of evidence that things changed but you were warped into thinking there wasn't - Trump was running for a national election and had to 'moderate' his views to ensure there was enough support to sweep through and create a mandate.

You KNEW the 2020 election was stolen. You KNEW the cases against him were bull****. And you didn't think Trump would take revenge for himself and on the behalf of the AMerican people?

Trump wanted to be a uniter in 2016 and it was admirable - It just didn't work.

Also - Trump term 2 would have been incredible even in 2020 because he was already declassifying things like crossfire hurricane. You think if they didn't steal the 2020 election he wouldn't have held the intelligence community that white washed the hunter biden laptop from the American people?

Not to mention a Trump term 2 wouldn't have had any vaccine mandates and a roaring econmy. It would have also led to a more natural succession path for RDS.

So no, I do not subscribe to the notion that 2020 would have been bad if we won.
