Because it’s being used to justify larger actions that might harm people and because a government official is using it to drive more traffic to his website, potentially enriching himself further.

If I truly believed the money would be spent helping more people, I’d be more interested in immediate cuts. But I suspect it’ll be used to mostly lower corporate taxes and higher income marginal tax rates.

Right. Becuase goverment officials weren't enriching themselves before with all this wastesful spending?

My solution for the politicians enriching themselves is to focus first on money going directly to politicians. Again, USAID funding isn’t likely where the money is for this, because they can use much more efficient mechanisms like trading stocks or working with corporate lobbyists that have much more money.

It should all be shut down. Just because shutting down foreign aid is the first thing doesn't make it bad or that these other things won't happen.

Nah, **** that. This isn’t some cashier they tracked the identity and employer of to ruin their life. It’s a person in the federal government with access to insanely sensitive and important systems having his own poor actions identified. That’s just ****ing journalism.

He resigned. And I won’t be outraged if DOGE lets him back. But we’re not going to start claiming a journalist reporting on a government official saying a bunch of racist **** is doing something wrong.

If you want a big boy job, you should expect big boy accountability for your actions.

The “journalists” is effectively a hitman. It serves absolutely zero purpose other than to feed the cancel culture mob and try to stop what’s happening. There is no purity in this reporting and it should not be rewarded. **** these people.

Again, this isn’t just some kid who made some mistakes years ago. This is a young man actively blitzing the federal government right now. Him being a racist jackass doesn’t make him any less qualified to do what he does for the DOGE team, so he can keep on doing it for all I care. But calling it a hit piece on some poor misguided child is disingenuous as ****. He said the things he said like in the past year, and is in a high profile role in our government. The VP ought to have more foresight than to call out a journalist for reporting on those actively in power.

I would like that journalist to go report on all the academic professors across the country who proudly spew anti white racism daily

We have a professor in here that openly says "crackers".

Don't get me wrong because I don't think it's a big deal and I think it's funny.

However, if we said an insulting word toward minorities all hell would break loose.

It’s pretty remarkable that Trump and musk got the left to defend fraud and waste. This is just the tip of the iceberg and there is no going back from their position. Midterms can’t get here soon enough.
