Second ('Third') Trump Presidency Thread

This twitter dufus (and thethe by extension) seriously underscores the Russian invasion of Georgia as some reaction to Georgia plans to join NATO. But Russian invasion into Georgian territory happened well before that, as Russia funded much of the instability in the South Ossetia and Abkhazia regions for more than a decade leading up the war.

I don’t get why they suck Putins dick so much. Putin isn’t a nice guy. Putin isn’t a nice neighbor to his neighboring countries that want to be more western.

Who is saying that Putin is a nice guy?

Find the one person who has said that?

Which country wants to be more western? Ukraine which in early 2010's voted for the Pro-Russian party and was overthrown by the West?

Hmm - I wonder if Russia knew that that they were about to join NATO and acted proactively?

Its incredible that people are completely unable to see the world from others point of views on this type of scale.

You guys are children - There is literally no other explanation for it.

this is the point. when you make a pledge like this, you are announcing to everyone that you are lowering your standards. it is not possible to achieve this without lowering standards

we had a decade where the left totally normalized extreme racism and sexism... calling for the extinction of white men... and everyone was just like "sure... what's the issue"

Ukraine has literally cancelled elections but they are the 'good' guys here?

Everyone with a brain understands that the funding for Ukraine has been an embezzlement operation but we are supposed to close our eyes and continue to scream PUTIN BAD MAN!

You guys are literally children. Well aside from KG who is a warmonger hack who actually thought Trump would lose in GA. I'm not shocked an idiot like him would be on the wrong side.

I remember the days of Saddam was a bad man so we must invade Iraq and destabilize the whole middle east.

CHILDREN!

Why was Gonzolo Lira in jail if Ukraine and the West are the 'good guys' here?

How much money was stolen from the American people due to the inflation reduction act?

WWII didn't start because of the Treaty of Versailles. WWII started because the Germans elected the Nazi party into power and they wanted to conquer the world.

It's not history, it's made up excuses to defend someone who's goal is to restart the Russian Empire. Who was upset his puppet government he installed was overthrown by the people.

This is also incorrect. The Treaty of Versailles is what directly led to the rise of the Nazi party. I mean this accepted by virtually everyone.

Now that the corrupt illegitimate regime isn't in power we will see where these cases go.

I mean - You can acknowledge this reality but somehow don't see the events that led to Russia invading Ukraine?

Seems very inconsistent to me but kudos for understanding what led to the rise of the Nazi's.

Interesting note on this - There are many historical scholars that say the US should have never involved themselves in WW1 which would have led to the Prussians/Germans winning which also would have nullified the rise of the Nazis. Who knows what happens with Russia as the revolution was in full throat at that point but its always a fascinating 'what if' in history.

The events that led with up the invasion were primarily sparked by Russian totalitarianism, which is a direct result of the political instability after the Cold War.

Russia and Ukraine are both corrupt kleptocracies. You can make the argument that Russia is more at fault for this war because they invaded but there are no "good guys" here.

I find it funny that people are more angry with Trump for chewing Zelensky's ass out than angry at Ukraine/Zelensky for saying they can't account for half of our tax money we sent them.

They acted proactively in the ****ing 90's? Give me a break dude. As soon as Putin was elected, tensions began increasing in the Georgia region. It's a fact that can't be disputed.

I have no issue calling out Zelensky. But people need to stop with this Putin and Russia victim narrative.

What happened with the Maidan Revolution.

What do you think caused that?

I'm shocked that a Pro-Russian person that loves their country led the country and started to resent the fact the West was politicking to bring in former soviet territories into NATO. SHOCKED.
