You are completely misunderstand the whole point of Godwins law - Its meant to shut down a conversation by comparing something to what the Nazi's did as if its the same thing.

Explaining why the people of Germany elected the Nazi's has absolutely nothing to do with that.

No you're making false equivalencies. I think Putin is a really bad person. THat's what I said. I can disagree with various choices the US has made. I was harping on reducing defense spending long before it was an idea you even considered. I was against the Iraq war before it was cool.

You're just attempting to win an argument that doesn't need to be won, and simply could be ended by saying "I don't think we need to be involved in the war in Ukraine because while Putin is a cumguzzler, but I don't believe in supporting the lesser of 2 evils and I have issues with how Ukraine is ran as well" Or just the general I don't believe in interventionalism approach but we know that's not true because you want to invade Greenland and Palestine.

I certainly want Greenland because it helps counterbalance the Russian navy and provides access to key minerals and shipping routes.

I counter that contention by showing how the West has been bad actors the last 30+ years and now you are trying to backtrack with a circular logic argument because I showed the faultiness in your logic.

See again, you're blaming "the West" for Putin being a dictator who's trying to restore the Russian Empire. Putin would have justified anything for his invasion. Becuase he's a terrible person. Remember when he killed his own people and blamed it on Chechen Rebels to insure he stayed in office by starting Second Chechen War?
