Second ('Third') Trump Presidency Thread

I've seen nothing to suggest that at all actually. Just speculation by people with an agenda.

Leftist have gobbled up every single lie the Biden Admin put out the last 4 years, but NOW.... now you can't believe anything the government says.

Sure, Jan.

The tweet I posted this morning does have relevant court documents outlining the claim:

I’m well aware that lawyers are pretty much always going to present a case suggesting their client is innocent, but this doesn’t look like great evidence of his involvement in TdA.

Well we do know Rubio walked back the claim that they were all gang members. The problem is we don’t know because there hasn’t been any due process. For people who were here legally.

They may be here legally, but they are not US Citizens.

Again, you're basing your opinion entirely on a narrative that the media is spinning to with little to no evidence to go off of, other than the word of unbiased people (family members, lawyers, etc.).

Do I agree with everything that has happened? Not necessarily. Do I think it's possible some of these people have been unfairly and wrongly labeled as gang members. Sure, it's certainly possible. But I also am not naïve enough to believe a narrative that a biased media is spinning. I trust that the people involved have more intel than simply "Tattoo = bad guy." If I am wrong on that, I'll admit it.

Meat, vegetables/fruit, again... pretty much everything, but you keep doing your little smug Tapate thing with your head in the sand

So your apples are up .15? Beef? Since when?

I know fuel and eggs are down big, I’m just trying to figure out specifically what we are talking about to try and understand your specific issues.

I don’t like the generalization of “pretty much everything, since whenever I say”

A lawyer representing the guy is totally an unbiased source....

I know that, man. The problem is that the government’s argument thus far seems to be “trust us, these are bad dudes” and they bypassed the legal deportation process. It’s harder to not side with the defendant when the government isn’t showing its work.

You.... you just posted that national gas prices are down more than 15% from a year ago.... you understand that right?

I do. Gas prices are down from a year ago and up from a month ago. But thanks for the headsup!!

I’m aware they aren’t citizens, thank you. My wife runs a non profit that helps to assimilate refugees and immigrants to our society so I don’t think I need a crash course in how all that works. Someone here legally without a criminal record should be afforded due process… come on. I love how you acknowledge that maybe some guys have wrongly been sent to one of the worst prisons in the world but you don’t really care if the government shows their work. Why are we taking their word for it? You know, people that have lied numerous times before? I guess it can be out of sight, out of mind for you then.

We want govt to show our work? Omg since when ?!

Why the sudden change

I get that you have “but the left” takes queued up and all after the past 4 years, but how often do you see me just uncritically take the government at its word?

I think what I actually said (or implied at the very least) is that you shouldn't take the word of the media as the truth, especially when they are trying to spin an agenda.

But again, the government used a controversial statute to speed up the deportation process without the normal steps that would allow us to actually get the state’s argument for why these individuals needed to be shipped to a maximum security prison in El Salvador. We shouldn’t blindly believe defense attorneys or the media, but this administration has ceded any credibility it might have had in these cases by doing it in this shoddy manner.

Perhaps this isn’t a good rubric if a Venezuelan person can be deported because they had a particularly unlucky day of shopping.

Congrats to these guys for successfully being able to turn doing crime with Hunter Biden into having the consequences removed by Trump. Generationally successful grifting here.

If we’re going to spend the next few years following China’s lead on restricting free trade, I would propose we also borrow this bit where they stop Blackrock from buying a bunch of key real estate.
