Personally if I'm this woman I'm recording all these things, the lawsuit for this will destroy what happened with Alex Jones.
Was busy at work. Although the case was dismissed, I agree this is important context and depending on the circumstances would be enough for me to be fine with deportation.
It would not change my mind on the circumstances behind his removal, our scheme to put people in a Salvadoran prison without due process or Trump defying a 9-0 SCOTUS ruling and just pretending he didn’t, but it would change the calculus on what I think we should do if/when he’s brought back.
If we’re going to imprison someone overseas instead of merely deporting them, I think a police record would be useful.
That’s not what I’m saying. What I’m saying is we shouldn’t be imprisoning people in a place we are *apparently* legally unable to get them out of without knowing they’ve committed a crime, such as using the court system. Essentially take the same process for which we currently decide if someone is a violent felon and apply that to these cases before sending them to a hellhole for violent felons with no recourse if we got it wrong.
I understand, I don’t agree an individual’s civil liberties are fair game, even if you’re trying to send a message.
A terrorist is someone who commits terrorism. Please provide evidence of this.
As far as being an illegal, I disagree this is either a good moral or legal justification for imprisoning that person in a foreign prison for terrorists. Particularly if we’re going to pretend the President of El Salvador wouldn’t personally deliver the person if Trump asked.
Is this another one of those new Trump definitions like intelligence?
When it comes to determine whether or not he’s a violent criminal, that’s sort of the gist of it, yeah. They have funny sayings about it and everything. Otherwise I could just call the FBI and say you are a terrorist and they’d have no choice but to send you away forever.
He was released without being charged, and despite the entire right-wing media and federal government being engaged on this, I have yet to see any definitive link between him and MS-13 be shown. You just keep repeating that a CI said he was MS-13 and two immigration judges believed it. CECOT is an insane place to send someone based on that.
I dunno, depends on what the cops are offering me and how much they’re going to try to verify my story.
