Meh, I think the general left-wing view on this would likely boil down to finding gang violence less “bad” than terrorism, whereas I’m just annoyed that we are fucking around with some poli sci terms.

I’m also annoyed that we suddenly accept massive restrictions to due process if terrorism is involved, but that’s more of a tangent than any real criticism of the Trump Admin.

I’m still waiting on a reasonable answer to why we wouldn’t just, you know, deport the people without a criminal record. If the border is so secure now, just call El Salvador, offer them some extra compensation for their lost slaves and ask them to drop them off in Guatemala or something.

The constitution applies to gang members and terrorists too. It even allows for plenty of legal ways we can hold them accountable for any crimes they commit. Why don’t we consider one of those?

This isn’t the same thing. This is cleansing the nation of an invasion from the previous administration. There was no singular event that caused this. It was decades of malfeasance from our leaders.

You individually are clearly a tremendous person. Probabaly an amazing husband/father/friend. Your political ideology would fail miserably.

The constitution like all other laws are open to interpretation. As I’ve said repeatedly we are in a post constitutional period of our nations history.
