Dude, tariffs have been tried over and over again. There’s nothing “short-sighted” or “ignorant” about pointing out that they have not been successful at achieving their stated aims.

All countries on earth except 3 use tariffs. The world's economy is just fine.
However, these tariffs at this high rate can be harmful.
Do you understand that we're using these as of now to get better trade deals?
We have countries ready to negotiate with us for better trade deals.

Why would anyone engage with you on this when you’re intellectually dishonest in these conversations?
Example 1: Trump 1st term tariffs - “a 2020 pandemic invalidates 2019 conclusions from a 2017 policy!”
Example 2: Any other time tariffs were tried before - “all of this data is invalidated because the CCP exists in 2025!”
Example 3: The 2020 election - “Trump didn’t lose, the election was stolen!”
