Second ('Third') Trump Presidency Thread

The point i was making the more right of center one is the more likely you'll be for them.

The more left the more likely you aren't.

And its not even really about tariffs. Its another Trump adjacent issue for the left.

Not sure why that matters. People oppose / support things for many reasons. I’m sure many of my liberal minded friends will drop their new found adoration for free trade if AOC is President in 2028.

Free market capitalism is a core principle of libertarianism.

Let’s be real though, on both the left and the right a big chunk of the results are based on team loyalty, not any actual understanding of Economics. If Trump woke up tomorrow and said tariffs are over and he made a mistake, then Dems responded by attacking him for abandoning the American worker or something, 20-30% of the country would probably swing in the opposite direction on tariffs simply because their side said something new.

I could be charitable and say the liberals driving the post-election trend on this graph are feeling the acute pain on tariffs and have seen the light on free market capitalism…but I won’t be charitable.

Undeniably true - it’s a joke and why the courts should be completely ignored. Make it the issue of the 26 mid terms and let the American people decide if Trump and his admin are wrong.

I’d love to see congressmen in swing districts run on impeaching Trump for deporting illegals.

Here is a hint. They won’t.

Seriously though - explain how this is ok

I don’t want to hear one thing if trump isn’t able to do mass deportations. This is the same thing as the wall. The whole system is against what the American people voted for.
Okay, we keep going back and forth on Biden illegally letting people in vs. Trump illegally sending people to foreign torture centers. But when did Biden defy the Supreme Court to conduct his immigration policy? Am I missing some landmark case against Biden?

It’s a fantastic loophole the left has engineered. The overarching theme that you can flood the country with illegals but not kick them out is the issue. America voted largely to deport and that’s what Trump should give them.

Let the left try to impeach Trump for giving the American people wants they want. It will be fantastic for the mid terms.

The Supreme Court should not be ignored because then we can just start ignoring courts whenever we want and then we become a dictatorship. It’s not the American people deciding to ignore the courts, it’s Donald Trump. You only get to decide if you want to electorally punish anybody who blatantly ignores the courts. I am aware you will not in this case.

The people voted to deport illegals. They didn’t vote to deport illegals as long as the courts approve of the process.

Trump owes it to America to fulfill his promise
