Second ('Third') Trump Presidency Thread

I love though that people continually said Trump didn’t know what he was doing in the Middle East and yet we have a groundbreaking peace agreement and future amongst Arab nations but for sure this time we need to listen to consensus expert opinions on economics.

Fall into the same traps over and over and over.

Trump saw that the past in the Middle East did not dictate its future and that new situations propped up that brought about new opportunities. Those that think today is the same as yesterday will always be doomed to fail.
These are fundamentally different sets of processes, and gives Trump completely different leverage to play his “do what I want now” schtick. Nobody actually wants to keep spending on wars. They want the other side to give in so they can stop being at war. If Trump applies pressure, it only decreases their appetite for war if the United States might impose some hardship for them.

On the other hand, free trade is a collaborative effort where both sides want to be at the table. If Trump applies pressure, they might cave but it’s a much different incentive structure because instead of ending a war, you’re accepting that your businesses now have less access to the US market because we will still set our baseline tariff on you, and you’re just being beat down into what you can offer the US in trade negotiations while Trump insists that the US will stop buying from you forever soon enough.

Not in the fucking streets, man. People have been misinterpreting the hell out of the 3rd Amendment, but there *is* a reason it was there.
When you have terrorist groups running a mock and criminals that states are not cleaning up then yes that is its purpose. To preserve the life and liberty of its people.

The difference between 2001 and now is when someone tells us terrorists are around every corner and the government needs complete autonomy to handle the threat, we know it’s fucking bullshit. It’s way past time that we get rid of the laws that allow the government to do so much to combat terrorism given how they’ve abused that power.

Everything is push and pull and leverage. Trump understand this more than health care experts masquerading as economic experts.

But hey - may as well just submit to China because it’s smart economically!

This is a bold argument as Trump declares himself an expert at the causes of Autism and American farmers all go bankrupt.

Sure - we just see it in the streets everyday.

But continue to fight it. The country will choose at the ballot box and the fact Dems can’t clean their streets will kill yhem.

When is the last time you saw an act of terrorism in your neighborhood? Or do you just see it on tv every day?

I live on Long Island where MS 13 terrorized the population for a bit there. Thankfully, trump knows to clean the streets of this filth and not give them healthcare like the dems want.

I’m reading that they were trying to apprehend this woman for throwing rocks at ICE agents since she was the friend of the person already in ICEs custody. She tried to get away and ICE cut her off to stop her and took her ass away.
