In addition to what Zito just said, the data on IQ in African nations is heavily skewed and misrepresented by the work of literal eugenicists and racists. While there are certainly are some genetic components to intelligence, there is no compelling data that actually points to entire races or nations being genetically superior or inferior. Most attempts to prove otherwise have failed to show how the differences are not environmental in nature, and some have been outright deceptive in how they were presented.

As for why, I support immigration based on need and lifting people out of poverty and war.

i don't see the problem

but i do wonder why we let folks in Appalachia continue to be American citizens...they have benefited for many generations from being part of a powerful technologically advanced country and still can't lift themselves out of poverty and misery...this in spite of being part of a racially advantaged group...time to give someone else a chance

You could name any country or region and I’d be similarly unable to name a specific benefit. Some forms of immigration have a specific benefit, such as students or employment visas, but in general I don’t know what any particular population group as a whole is going to do for me. I just accept that immigration need not benefit me directly.
 
Im willing to keep an open mind to the possibility that someone from West Viginia or Oklahoma has somehow done something to my benefit.

AI informs me that Salahudin Adenkhalif, who came here as a refugee from Somalia, then rose to the rank of Navy commander. There are undoubtedly others. Just as there are Haitians who have made distinguished contributions
 
I get students every semester from poor countries who are absolute ballers. One of them from Mozambique was chosen by her classmates last year to give a graduation speech.

I am always pretty amused by the inability for people to conceive for even a second that you can be *like* the Nazis without your target being Jewish people. Stephen Miller does speak like a Nazi. The only way in which his heritage relates to that fact is that it’s perhaps slightly more surprising that he cozies himself up to some people who would feasibly throw him into the non-white group.

Being born with attractive physical features is an odd way to label a cultural accomplishment. I’m not sure that’s the line of thinking you want to take here but really funny fallback you took

Eh. I daresay I've accomplished a lot more than you ever will.

And I daresay many immigrants from countries like Haiti and Somalia have contributed much more to this country than you ever will.

That's ok though. We are happy to share the fruits of our talents with our fellow Americans. This country has given us a great deal and we are happy to give something in return.
