Second ('Third') Trump Presidency Thread

There have been zero consequences to the left for Kirks murder. In fact, they turned around and elected an AG who fantasized about dead kids and assasinating republicans.

This will only continue

Is there any actual evidence that Cook was explicitly targeted for her conservative views? Murdering a disabled Uzbek immigrant along with her was certainly a clever way for the shooter to get the Feds off his trail if so.

Don't you see the pattern?

There have been enough political killings in the last few months, dont you?

Sure, but nobody outside of Brown University has ever heard of Ella Cook. Given that we don’t even know who the killer is, let alone that killer’s motive, declaring this tragedy an obvious political assassination is pretty clearly insane? Even if Cook was the intended target, there are plenty of possible motivations that are far, far more statistically likely than something that’s happened a couple times. In any event, RIP Ella Cook and Mukhammad Aziz Umurzokov. No matter the reason, neither deserved this and I hope their families find any peace they can in the days ahead.

Only one side wants to end shootings, the other side wants to throw more guns at it.

The lack of details brown is providing is suspicious of itself. And my wife being connected to the school the believe from the alumni is a political motivation

This is confirmation bias at its absolute best. This is said by the right in the wake of practically every mass shooting. You just seem to conveniently forget that it took a while for law enforcement to provide details whenever it’s not a Muslim/Trans/Leftist shooter.

I’m not going to pretend it’s impossible by any means, but unless there is actual *evidence* it was a politically-motivated attack, you’re just needlessly politicizing the event with your speculation. Speculation that is, again, undercut by the other victim of the shooting.

And we still dont know the motive of Tyler robinson!

We do, though. Not only was it immediately more obvious due to the fact that Kirk was a public figure shot at relatively long range by a rifle, but in the days after his murder we were provided evidence that Robinson shot him over rhetoric that he took issue with.

In fact, the push by the left to paint the Kirk shooter as a Groyper is a great example of why racing to control the narrative of a shooting in the absence of actual facts is so misguided and gross.

Why was Kirk killed? Evidence paints complicated picture of alleged assassin : NPR https://share.google/RN58PoekJdGamvMQq

There’s a certain amount of (largely needless) nuance you’re missing here, though. With the exception of complete idiots, nobody is really questioning whether or not Robinson killed Kirk over his views/words/public image. For some reason, people seem to want to dig in on exactly which views Robinson killed Kirk over, but it’s not some big mystery why Kirk was killed.

This essentially anonymous conservative woman (along with a young man named Mukhammad) being shot on a college campus pretty clearly does not have as immediately obvious of a motive as Kirk’s assassination. This is once again not a denial of the possibility, but the right is pretty clearly jumping to some conclusions not yet supported by facts.
