Second ('Third') Trump Presidency Thread

I don’t think it’s racist to enforce immigration laws. I think it’s foolish to be so restrictive regarding our immigration processes, that the Trump Administration is enforcing the laws recklessly and spending too many resources on getting rid of folks that are otherwise not committing crimes and that there are racists within the movement, but it’s not racist on its face to do deportations or even to support them.
WHAT DO YOU DO AFTER THE PREVIOUS REGIME LETS IN 20 MILLION PEOPLE?!?

Oh you have to do it orderly and fair. Fuck that - We are going to do it quick and with enough force that it doesn't happen again.

Yeah, you’ve made that abundantly clear. I guess I you’d better hope more voters are on the “deport as much as possible at any cost” train than the “stop having federal police officers assault people nationwide” train.

170 out of 622000 if we are to believe those numbers are correct (I'm sure it's not it's probably over and underreporting whatever)

Means that ice is about 3 times more likely to arrest or "detain" a US citizen than a under 30 year old male is to get myocarditis from COVID Vaccine so I guess thethe is pro-COVID vaccine now.

I could just as easily play a clip of George W. Bush or Reagan regarding immigration and ask the same of Republicans. There’s been an extreme increase in polarization on this issue and the left is certainly guilty of not compromising enough on the issue. I think there are genuinely realistic options that could satisfy a vast majority of the country available and instead we have poor cooperation between opposing ideologues.
So let me help explain. I have seen a political party decide that immigration should be literally anyone who wants to be here, and those who are here, deserve benefits natives could never dream of.

Like why do you all hate the idea of immigration enforcement, where 20 years ago it was the mainstream of your party. What changed? Can you answer that question?

I used to be libertarian. But you people are insane. You go to bat for pedophiles and Haitians. What are we doing here? Call me a fucking a racist I dont care. Bring smart people to the country and if they aren't smart, dont bring them. Why is that controversial or racist?
