Second ('Third') Trump Presidency Thread

Never understood fascination with college sports. Level of skill is so poor compared to pros.
I think the appeal makes sense if you attended one of the D1 schools in undergrad.

College basketball has become more interesting than the NBA ever since the league collectively decided that no games matter until May.

NBA is absurd now. Playoffs are the greatest but like you said it just doesn’t matter anymore prior

Playoffs can be great if the right teams matchup, but it’s also a league where realistically only 2 or 3 teams have a chance at winning, so once you get past the competitive early rounds it becomes predictable.

But every now and then two super elite teams face off and there is nothing better. Spurs vs Heat was incredible

I think it's because we don't have an organic attachment to our teams. Soccer culture in Europe is basically equivalent to college sports culture in the US. Lots of excited fan bases who show up even if your team is ass. In America they only want winners, and they're way too casual.

I have a job and a family and a house. One of them seems to occupy almost all of my time. When they don’t there is always wood waiting to be worked.
I love watched the two Niners super bowls recently but it’s not a regular occurrence for me. End of a vacation we were just lounging and it was on.
