Second ('Third') Trump Presidency Thread

AI can’t even make a baseball schedule correctly.

I have my doubts it offers much other than being an information aggregator, that can simply put forward bad info someone else publishes
There will be a life for all organizations to get their data in order as well as documenting of processes but it’s going to happen fast.

I have used it to build an excellent playlist. And to find repair methods for various things. And to quickly ruin absurd statements that people make occasionally.

It is like any other tool. Can be used for good or bad. For things it does well and things it does badly. The thang that stands out at the moment is the rate of improvement and the promise for what it will allow us to accomplish. It is a meta invention on par with the combined power of the printing press and widespread literacy. And those two things didn't happen simultaneously.

Just in the field of data extraction (from text or images) it is going to have a revolutionary impact.

If you spend your whole day in front of a screen AI is gonna make you expendable
Even if you don’t, AI robotics aren’t far behind.

Work is going to be dramatically different and it’s going to be sooner than anyone of us expect. Best advice is to learn how to use AI agents so you’re not completely left behind (even that seems futile).

I'm preparing for my new career as a sommelier. It will be a while before AI can taste wine. Of course it can already do a pretty job writing fake tasting notes.

I’m more black pilled. I use Claude in my day to day and to be honest I am the inefficiency.
I have determined that we are basically all on a UBI anyway with fake jobs to keep us busy. Some more than others.

But only like .1% of the people create the things the masses use daily (food, energy, technology)

The idea of a CPA makes me laugh. We create a tax code so confusing that it requires a person to dedicate their life figure out
