Yes. I think services for people who cannot care for themselves can be moved to Medicaid/Medicare, and we could then take the enormous funding we put toward this program and use it toward medical care across the board, to include elder care for those who need shelter whether they’re able-bodied or not.

What “enormous funding”? Social Security entirely funded by social security payroll taxes and taxes on social security benefits. What you’re advocating for is a massive tax on workers (who won’t receive anything now) to pay for healthcare for non-workers and seniors.

I’m aware of how social security is funded. That was a half-cocked proposal on my part, but I got imaginative. I’d remain interested in simply ending social security in its current form and look at other avenues for how to publicly care for the elderly.

Social security, medicare are the two big ones. But they also get every tax break we can imagine at the federal, state, and local level. Everything is designed for the olds, bc they are the voters and make up the government who writes the laws

I like how in the first term he’d fire people for things they largely didn’t do and then smear them forever, but this time he just makes his army of idiots blindly defend the indefensible until the public outcry over their dumb defense of his agenda is too great.

I dunno, it's kind of the best thing that happened in this administration. It was stupid but at least harmless and now I can post this picture over and over and over again
