Because this isn't real. Like Liberals hate Trump and someone with mental health issues could kill him, but be real, why does this keep happening every time his polls slip? Because it allows him to rally his base. It's all fake. He's a huge fan of the WWE, when you realize that it makes everything that's happening with him obvious. He's trying to generate buzz/hype/etc. There were large dollar polymarket bets that he wasn't going to speak yesterday.

It’s not relevant in the sense that his own rhetoric doesn’t make it okay to target him, but it’s relevant when thethe and other idiots decide that we need to use extreme measures to stop the left as a whole. These clips do not need to be taken out of context or absolved for the problem to be larger than “Dems are just crazy murderers that must be stopped at all costs.”

Well yea there’s thethe.. no need to go further.

But there is a growing segment of the core dem base that believe theft is fine as long as its from a corporation (at least they draw the line as worker owned businesses) and murdering capitalists is “understandable” because they commit “social murder”.

The right has all manner of problems. Conspiracy peddling (mainstreamed by Rogan and leveraged by Trump) has completely destroyed critical thinking in that party. So we don’t need to do the whataboutism game.

The whataboutism here was directly in response to the EndWokeness tweet that combines prominent Dem politicians calling for civil unrest and calling Trump various forms of an authoritarian or threat to humanity interspersed with calls for violence from celebrities. The rhetoric being espoused by the people writing the laws in that clip is absolutely no different, and in many cases tamer, than what Donald Trump says on a daily basis. And yet Sturg claims Dem voters are complicit by not properly voting for different people than Robert DeNiro or Kathy Griffin. It’s a shitty video that makes non-violent rhetoric appear to be in direct consensus with violent rhetoric.

The left still has to own its own rhetoric and has a moral obligation to do better, but when you claim Nancy Pelosi is encouraging violence by calling Donald Trump a fascist and in turn claim Dems have blood on their hands, I think it’s worth calling out that hypocrisy.
