Shane Greene

I'm guessing it'll take him two weeks or so to ramp up, and another two weeks before posters start bemoaning his performance out of the pen.

I mean all he has to do is cover the plate when he airmails a throw to be an improvement on what we have right?

I’ll take him. Pretty good pickup

If he performs to his career xFIP (4.12), he'll be a useful RH in a bullpen dominated by LH relievers; if he pitches to his 2020 xFIP (4.75), I don't see him helping much. If he continues to overperform his xFIP by 1.00-2.00 runs of ERA, he'll instantly be our second-best RH reliever, assuming Martin is back before Green is ready.

Could be worse, as far as pickups go, for sure. I'll be interested to see the terms.

His ass better perform though...or he will look like an idiot holding out so long because of differences of his value.

Glad to have Green back! With Martin coming back and Flowers in probably a month the team should be a lot stronger come the trade deadline. Soroka should be fresh to when he returns for the stretch run.
