The season I am talking about (last year in the comparable 5 year span) was 1978. So in that span his best season was 1978.
Or maybe you can quote a different post as opposed to making fun of something I wrote when it was accurate? And since I never said what you are implying I said I'd rather you just be honest.

His 5th FULL season wasn't his best season either. And he was over a full year older than Jason as well. So his age comparable season to his fifth FULL season won't be next year for Jason anyway.
His best season was his 6th FULL season followed by his 15th FULL season and 11th FULL season.
So now that we fully determined your post wasn't accurate, or fair, or any number of things, want to stop harping?

BTW Jason's high comp was Winfield his low was Cliff Floyd (cause of injury concerns) He's virtually already passed Cliff Floyd.

Your point makes no sense, I don't even know what it is anymore. You said Winfield was trending upward.....but he wasn't....he had his best season in 1979 and then went back to his norm. He was pretty much the same player his whole career, outside of his last few years.
He averaged 2.72 fWAR for his career
Heyward is at 4.38
Just stop....your point, whatever it is, makes no sense.

No, I'm using scouts comparing Jason to Dave...Their first 5 seasons are similar, so for people that say Jason hasn't lived up to his potential, the stats for him and Dave....show that he has.

Jason's SLG has been trending down for three years now. He's been adjusted to, and is yet to make adjustments.
I looooooooooooove people just quoting fWAR and using it as the end-all, be-all, AGAIN. Heyward's defense gives him a massive jump in WAR and it's hard to see how it's justified. Heyward has a loooooong way to go to be as good as Winfield was from an offensive standpoint.

they're similar...according to WAR, which gives Heyward a huge bump for his defense. They aren't that similar offensively, and if you wanna add in the 6th full season, which would be this year for Heyward and then Winfield's...oh boy...
