Shooting at Mosque in Christchurch...

The New Zealand Mosque shooter says in his manifesto that he admires Donald Trump because Trump is “a symbol of renewed white identity and common purpose.”


Wow, he mentioned our president as influence to do such a vile thing. Depressing
 
This guy had some crazy writings. No place for this in civil society. Cowardly terrorist.
 
The religion of peace strikes again. When are we going to do something about Christian Extremists. I hear Trump is signing bibles now.

The dude was a troll. His entire manifesto is to get people riled up and cause more division and hatred. Citing that he admires Trump will surely trigger the left.

Predictable defense. I am sure if a Muslim did this to a Christian church and cited Obama the right would not politicize it in any way.

I'm sure they would. However this guy posted his intentions on 8chan and then live streamed it on FB. He was of that ****ed up internet culture and disturbed enough to actually go out and do it.
 
Well he is alive so we will be hearing a lot from him. I dont know how strict the law/constitution is in NZ but they should give him to one of the Middle East dictators. I made the mistake of reading about some of the tortures inflicted on people by the Sadaam Hussein Iraqi government and that sounds like justice to me in this situation.
 
A few things on this one

1. The event is horrifying and so incredibly sad

2. I am glad the second mosque had an armed person who was able to deter further damage

3. I'm not buying this guys manifesto... looks like a clear troll to get the media to fall right into, which of course it has

There is a case for distinguishing between radical Islam and other forms of the religion. Neither you nor Anning make that case. Instead we have in Anning's statement the claim that the entire religion is a violent ideology.
