I am starting to think that my initial projections of 3-4 WAR for Acuna might be a little low. I'm gonna stick with that because rookies exceeding that number is extremely rare, but the dude has certainly looked like he could be one of those exceptions.

That is what I was thinking too and it looked like a pretty good one. Don't really trust my eyes when it comes to pitch effectiveness, but it looked pretty decent.

I dont understand how the Newk game is on Braves TV with a Braves banner, at home, and the announcers are STILL the other team's. Kind of annoying. I watched Albies homeruns from yesterday's MLB broadcast which was Pirates guys, and they just shrugged and moved on. No replays or even discussion.

Eflin threw Acuna 4 straight sliders to go 1-2, then threw 95 above the belt, but Acuna did not chase. He then just missed a slider and flew out to the track in CF.

The progress Acuna has made in handling MLB sequencing in a few dozen PAs is remarkable.

Chip and Joe are lazy. They don't do spring training games at all until late, and they're probably the only crew that does it that way. They're going to start their season on Wednesday.

The Braves are beyond fortunate to have this kid. To sign him for 100k when he wasn't generating any buzz at all and for him to turn into this... Its pretty crazy. I don't know what to think of the kid. I wanna be reasonable and say that he will have a nice solid 3 WAR rookie season... But damn...

For him to be the age he is, and have the plate recognition he does, it's pretty incredible.

Take a look at Bryant’s 2015 ST and subsequent regular season.

That type of season may by Acuna’s 95th percentile outcome, but the possibility is real.
