Shanks is such a douche bag idiot. He took one sentence (which, granted, was strangely worded by Bowman) and tried to use that as proof that McGuirik forced Snitker out. If you read the entire article it doesn’t paint that picture at all.

God. It’s so exhausting. Even if Shank’s brain fumbled onto something true (McGuirk wanted Snit gone), it doesn’t mean Snit was disrespected. I’m sorry… just because you worked somewhere for 49 years, doesn’t mean you are entitled to any job you want.
Snit’s a good guy and they are recognizing his contributions with induction to the organization’s hall of fame (and giving him probably the cushiest job imaginable).
“The Braves Way” era folks really are the most insufferable kool aid drinkers.

In reaction to what someone posted above, I've been saying from the get-go to not discount Gibbons being in the dugout in some capacity. I saw what the Mets just did and I wouldn't be surprised if the Braves went the same route and just cleaned house completely.

Acuna has always been injury prone going back to the minors. It's why signing him to an extension for more than 50% of what the retarded teams would offer is organizational suicide. Better to let the Mets pay him 600 million to play 50 games a year.

I really want to know what Snit will actually be doing in this advisory role because it sounds like money to do nothing. I really dont know what Snit would even be qualified to advise on. How to get a paycheck for 50 years despite being bad at your job?
