Snitker's future here

The braves topped out at 45-45. Since that point, they're 9-21 and about to lose another. I know there was a report that snit is likely to be back in '18, but do you think that could be changing? I hate tanking, but getting rid of snit would make it more bearable

If you want a competent manager you need to fire the people hiring the managers first. I am not advocating for that just pointing out that the FO is not going to hire anyone we want managing the team.

Wasn't the board overwhelmingly in favor of having him for 2017? The decision was made because Freddie and the other players liked him. Some of that was fallout from FG dismissal. Other, way more qualified, candidates were interviewed.

With it being a one year contract, there was no vote of confidence, especially with Ron Washington waiting in the wings. The question was really about what happens after getting to .500. It's not as though Snit had experience taking a club to the next level. Now we have our answer, not that he was 100% to blame but honeymoon is over.

I'm really not in favor of Washington, Pendleton or Perez taking over because I feel like it would be too much of the same -- managing on gut instinct instead of using advanced statistics. It would be like continuing to manage in the stone age of baseball.

Atlanta Braves Record since Freddie Freeman advocated Snitker come back for 2018:
5-9

In that time, record vs. teams >.500
3-4

Below .500
2-5

Overall this year:
Atlanta vs. teams > .500
21-31
