Did Wohlers tank that pitch to Leyritz in order to start the Yankees' dynasty and ruin our chance at multiple titles?

Proving my point....his longevity is his claim to fame.

I'm not a Yankee fan, I pretty much have hated them since 1996, and I don't even like Jeter, but I do enjoy the history of the game. To say that Jeter's claim to fame is his longevity is one of the most ignorant statements you could make. He's one of the best hitters of all time, you can't even debate that. If it was so easy for everyone to hang on for 20 years and amass that many hits, trust me they'd do it.
 
Is there anyway to tell how much Jeter batting 2nd, instead of guys like Gardner, Prado, and Headley, impacted the team? They all hit significantly better.
