Bob Hope airport is my favorite airport in the country. I get off the plane there and all the cares of the world fade away. It is like magic.
Pro tip: Avoid LAX and use Bob Hope! Even if you are staying downtown LA.
Pro tip #2: Same for Oakland airport relative to SFO. 9 out of 10 times, Oakland will be a much better experience and usually the flights out of there cost less.

Texas will be ok on its own. It doesn't need the federal largesse the way most red states do.

Excellent. Hopefully they can set an example and precedent for other states. It's unfair that those blue states carry so much of the financial load.
After the blue states have struck out on their own, it will be interesting to see what happens to agricultural prices, since much of that red state welfare is actually used to depress crop prices. I suppose the prices for all the energy the red states export to the blue states will also have to rise.

things like the price of oil and the price of wheat are determined on a global market...i'd be surprised if Texas seceding or anything similar would matter those kinds of commodities...there are a few things (like milk) where federal subsidies make a big difference...i think also there are some subsidies that are hidden but might turn out to be quite important...for example mail service and medical services in rural areas
They better leave thier politics at the border
