This was in the cusp of them spending an additional $900B , after spending $2T earlier in the year.
They were already down the path $600 checks then Trump threw a fit when he lost and demanded it to be raised to $2,000
Oh, and trump said he would refuse to sign anything less.

Well printing money for nothing causes inflation just the same as printing money for stupid policy.
Unfortunately, inflation is just math so it doesn’t really care if it’s caused for noble reasons or not.
Yeah because Trump cares about Americans and they needed help during an unprecedented tough time.
But Mitch obviously was such a fiscal conservative to later then sign unlimited spending.
Its such a joke.
Noble reasons should take priority over non-noble reasons and then the inflation spike would not have been as severe.

Hmmm … no. Increasing money supply without increasing productivity causes the value of said money to be worth less (ceterus paribus).
We would feel better about the inflation but the spike would be the same.

I’m pretty sure Mitch as senate majority leader had a fairly compelling motivation to remain the majority leader, so it’s pretty weird he’d purposefully sabotage the runoffs.
But of course he’s been bought and paid for by the CCP, so who knows.

The fact that he asked for more is further proof his judgement is bad. The people who got little checks in 2020 are paying for that badly today
A lot of this could have been avoided if we didn't start 15 days to slow the spread - which got extended to 30 days to slow the spread just days later
