California has generated almost 500 unicorns in the past 5 years, about 10 times as many as Texas. It's only fair that Texas or Oklahoma should get BBB.
 
Singapore is right on the equator. Hot and humid year round. It is about culture and opportunity. Not climate. In a very impressive way Singapore (and Tel Aviv) replicate much of the entrepreneurial culture of Silicon Valley. Arkansas and Oklahoma not so much. Austin to a small degree.

Btw NW Arkansas is quite beautiful. As is the part of Oklahoma that abuts it. Highly recommend for a vacation or as a place to retire. Not so much for raising a child, especially one who might want to pursue a career as an engineer or scientist.

Also, kind of an unforced error by George Soros and the USAID spending apparatus to put all their untraceable shadow money into paying thousands upon thousands of protestors to go to No Kings Rallies instead of just paying those people to live in red districts for a little while before the elections.

Awesome. I shall advise Arkansas to massively increases their taxes and homeless population and they will be new the birthplace of the next silicon valley!

Singapore’s low corporate tax rate and everyone speaking English next to China probably explains their success a bit more than their “culture” (though it is noted your admiration for a country that will fine you thousands of dollars if you chew gum).

2. Red states pursue low tax strategies

So neither of the above fits in as part of the secret sauce for technological and economic advancement

Also not to nitpick but Singapore is not "next" to China

Red states timing this before a midterm election when Republicans have a majority in Congress seems like a bold risk, because you’re just inviting blue states to retaliate in an election where you might be primed to lose seats to begin with. I think there’s a genuinely decent chance this backfires on Trump and the House majority.

Gotta look at latitude too. Ecuador is on eastern time but not next to the United States.

Quito is closer to Washington than Singapore is to Beijing.

You're making me think that certain stereotypes about Americans and geography might be true.
